QUICK-GUIDE

  1. Enter the water flow rate in litres/second, kilograms/second or cubic metres/hour

  2. Select the water temperature (this can change the water density and therefore the pressure drop)

  3. Select a pipe material and specification. This will define what sizes can be selected based on the sizes in the range.

  4. Move the slider to select the nominal pipe size within the range of available sizes. Moving the slider all the way to the left will select the smallest size in the range, moving to the right will increase by a pipe size for each increment. The calculation will use the internal diameter specific to the pipe size for the particular material and specification selected.

  5. The resulting velocity and pressure drop per unit length are displayed in the grey boxes.
